    • Summary
    The hypromellose contained in Viscosan increases the viscosity of tears and reduces surface tension. The solution remains on the eye and provides the cornea with good protection against irritation of the eyes due to non-infectious causes.
    When instilled into the conjunctival sac, the solution quickly spreads over the entire surface of the eye and forms a thin, transparent film that adheres well to the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye and ensures sufficient lubrication.

    Always use Viscosan eye drops exactly as directed in this leaflet.
    Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless the doctor prescribes otherwise, the dosage must be adhered to.
    Drip 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times a day or more frequently. The same dosage applies to the re-wetting of hard contact lenses.

    When additionally using other eye preparations, there should be at least a period of 15 minutes between the use of the different
    products. Viscosan eye drops should always be used last.

    For the symptomatic treatment of drying symptoms of the cornea and conjunctiva (“dry eye”) due to tear secretion and dysfunction as a result of local or systemic diseases, as well as in the case of inadequate or incomplete eyelid closure

    For wetting and re-wetting hard contact lenses
    For instilling into the conjunctival sac.
    Always use Viscosan eye drops exactly as instructed in this leaflet.
