    1. What is Calcimagon-D3 and what is it used for?
    Calcimagon-D3 is a vitamin and mineral preparation. It is used to prevent and treat vitamin D and calcium deficiency in older people, to prevent and treat osteoporosis and as vitamin D and calcium supplement to support specific therapy for osteoporosis.
    2. What should you consider before taking Calcimagon-D3?
    Calcimagon-D3 must not be taken:
    if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D or one of the other components of this medicine mentioned in section 6.
    if you have a serious impairment of the kidney function.
    If you suffer from kidney stones.
    if you have too high calcium levels in the blood or urine. Ask your doctor.
    If you have too high vitamin D levels in the blood. Ask your doctor.
    Warnings and precautionary measures:
    Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Calcimagon-D3:
    If you receive long-term treatment with calcimagon-D3, while taking diuretic agents (diuretics) (for the treatment of high blood pressure or edema) or heart glycosides, medicines for the treatment of heart diseases.
    If you suffer from restricted kidney function or tend to form a pronounced kidney stone.
    If you suffer from sarcoidosis (an illness of the immune system that can lead to the increase in vitamin D level in the body).
    if you have osteoporosis as a result of strong movement restrictions (immobilization osteoporosis).
    If you use other vitamin D containing preparations. The additional intake of calcium and vitamin D should only be carried out under a close -meshed medical supervision.
    Children and adolescents:
    Calcimagon-D3 is not intended for use in children and adolescents.
    Taking Calcimagon-D3 together with other drugs:
    Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take other medicines, have recently taken other medicines or intend to take other medicines.
    Notes at the time of taking:
    The intake of certain antibiotics from the group of tetracycline can be reduced while taking calcium. For this reason, tetracyclin-containing medicines should be taken at least 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after taking calcimagon-D3.
    The effect of Chinolon antibiotics can be reduced while administration of calcium.
    Please take Chinolon antibiotics 2 hours before or 6 hours after Calcimagon-D3.
    Preparations from the group of bisphosphonates (for the treatment of osteoporosis) should be taken at least 1 hour before Calcimagon-D3.
    The effectiveness of the active ingredient levothyroxine (administered for the treatment of thyroid hormone deficiency) can be reduced by calcium. Therefore, please take medicines with the active ingredient levothyroxine at least 4 hours before or 4 hours according to Calcimagon-D3.
    calcium can reduce the absorption of iron, zinc and strontium ranelate. Therefore, please take pharmaceuticals that contain iron, zinc and strontium ranelate 2 hours before or 2 hours according to Calcimagon-D3.
    Further information:
    Medicines, the effect of which is influenced by Calcimagon-D3 or could affect the effect of calcimagon-d3:
    diuretics from the thiazid type (for the treatment of high blood pressure and edema).
    Heart glycosides (for the treatment of heart disease).
    orlistat for the treatment of obesity.
    Taking Calcimagon-D3 together with food and drinks:
    Calcimagon-D3 can be taken with or without food or liquid.
    pregnancy, lactation and fertility/child ability:
    If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect, to be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug .
    pregnancy:
    If you are pregnant, you can take calcime-d3 in the case of a calcium or vitamin D deficiency. During pregnancy, you should not take more than 2,500 mg of calcium and 4,000 i.e. vitamin D per day because overdoses can damage the unborn child.

    Road and ability to use machines:
    Calcimagon-D3 has no known influence on the traffic and the ability to use machines.
    Calcimagon-D3 contains isomalt and sucrose:
    This medicine contains isomalt (E 953) and sucrose (sugar). Please only take Calcimagon-D3 after consultation with your doctor if you are aware that you have an intolerance to certain sugar.
    3. How should Calcimagon-D3 be taken?
    dosage:
    The recommended dose is: 1 chewing tablet twice a day. You can suck or chew the tablet.
    Use in children and adolescents:
    Calcimagon-D3 chewing tablets are not intended for use in children and adolescents.
    If you have taken a larger amount of calcimagon-d3 than you should:
    If you have taken a larger amount of calcimagon-d3 than you should, please speak to a doctor or pharmacist immediately.
    If you have forgotten the intake of Calcimagon-D3:
    Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake. Pass the intake as described in the dosage instructions.

    4. What side effects are possible?
    Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but this does not have to occur with everyone. There have been hypersensitivity reactions with unknown frequency (frequency cannot be estimated based on the available data).
