Description
Refreshing, delicious, stimulating the senses Yogi Tea Green Tea Matcha Lemon combines Ayurvedic meditation tradition with Buddhist green tea craftsmanship. Delicate, green tencha tips, which are shaded in the last weeks before harvest to preserve their fine, fresh and mild taste, have been refined with exquisite matcha, which traditionally accompanied Buddhist monks in their long meditations. Fruity lemongrass and tangy lime round off this wonderful tea blend and create a very special taste experience.
The subtle message of this tea is: “Invigorated and harmonious throughout the day”.
Contains:
- Green Sencha tea: Sencha, one of the green teas we use, is also known as the “king of green tea”. It combines the most positive properties of the green tea plant and has a fresh, distinctive taste.
- Matcha: Matcha tea, once reserved only for the Japanese, is still one of the finest of all types of tea today. In a complex process, the finely ground matcha powder is created from the leaves of the Tencha green tea plant, which are shaded before harvest. It is bright green and tastes sweet and fresh.
- Green tea Tencha: Tencha is one of the finest types of tea in Japan. The intense green Tencha leaves, which serve as the basis for the special Matcha tea, make up just 1% of the tea harvest there. Tencha achieves its extraordinary quality through a complex processing process - from ripening in the shade to drying in special drying ovens.
- Lime: Limes are the intensely sour relatives of lemons. They were brought to southern Europe by crusaders in the Middle Ages. Its pulp is so acidic that the green citrus fruits are not usually eaten pure, but are used as a refreshing ingredient in drinks and dishes.
- Liquorice: Liquorice, the defining component of licorice, has been known since ancient times. It has a sweetening power that is around 50 times stronger than sugar and tastes mildly sweet and bitter and tart.
- Lemongrass: Lemongrass contains essential oils and has a strong, lemony-fresh taste. To this day it is unclear where the plant from the sweet grass family, which is primarily used in Asian cuisine, originally comes from.
- Peppermint: The cross between brook mint and wild mint, which was only discovered in 1696 and was probably created by chance, is one of the best-known plants today of the world. Peppermint is extremely popular worldwide due to its refreshing aroma and has a light, pleasant spiciness.
- Black pepper: Black pepper, also known as the “king of spices”, is now, along with salt, the most important spice in the world. It originally comes from the Indian Malabar Coast and tastes intensely spicy and slightly hot to spicy.
- Guarana: Guarana is a plant native primarily to the Amazon region, which the Indians say has the power of a high divine being. It grows like a liana up to 12 meters high and belongs to the soap tree family. Its orange-red fruits taste slightly bitter.
- Lemon verbena: The lemon bush, as the verbena is also called, was only introduced to Europe at the end of the 18th century. Their home is under the sun of South America. The lemon verbena belongs to the verbena family and contains fine essential oils.
- Lemon peel: The peel of the fruit of the lemon tree, which comes from India, is as aromatic as its sour pulp. Slightly bitter and refreshingly fruity, it preferably enriches Mediterranean dishes, desserts or herbal tea mixtures.
- Ginger: Whether in Christmas cookies, in the curry mixture or as lemonade: the bulbous ginger is one of the best-known spice plants in the world. It has been cultivated for thousands of years in the tropical heat of eastern Asia and gives many of the Yogi Teas a fruity, sharp, aromatic, spicy taste.
