Contains:
- Cinnamon: Cinnamon was one of the most expensive spices in the world and are said to have been in China as early as 3,000 years BC. May have been used as a spice. Cinnamon is obtained from the bark of the South Asian cinnamon tree, tastes aromatic and sweet and contains valuable essential oils.
- Liquorice: Liquorice, the key ingredient in licorice, has been known since ancient times. It has a sweetening power that is around 50 times stronger than sugar and tastes mildly sweet and bitter-tart.
- Ginger: Whether in Christmas cookies, in the curry mixture or as lemonade: the bulbous ginger is one of the best-known spice plants in the world . It has been cultivated for thousands of years in the tropical heat of eastern Asia and gives many of the Yogi Teas a fruity, sharp, aromatic, spicy taste.
- Cardamom: Cardamom has been one of the most popular spices throughout the Asian and Arabian region for thousands of years. Its fine, sweet and spicy aroma makes cardamom ideal for use in numerous dishes - from hot curries to spicy Christmas cookies.
- Clove: Cloves are the flower buds of the clove tree and in our latitudes they are primarily used as a spice in both sweet and salty dishes known. They belong to the myrtle family and have an intensely spicy aroma, for which they were even worth gold in ancient China and Egypt.
- Black pepper: Black pepper, also known as the “king of spices”, is the most important pepper today, along with salt spice of the world. It originally comes from the Indian Malabar Coast and tastes intensely spicy as well as slightly hot to hot.
- Cocoa shell: The cocoa tree, which originally comes from the Latin American rainforest, is famous above all for its beans - the raw material for chocolate. But the shells of the cocoa bean fruit are also full of a sweet, soft aroma, but contain much fewer calories.
- Fennel: Fennel belongs to the umbelliferous family and has been popular around the world for thousands of years because of its intense aroma. It originally comes from the Mediterranean and its sweet, spicy taste is slightly reminiscent of anise.
- Anise: This annual plant thrives in Asia and southeast of the Mediterranean, and its sweet-tasting fruit has been revered by people for thousands of years. Aniseed used to be sacrificed to the gods, but today it can be found in kitchens, Christmas bakeries and as a delicious spice in many Yogi Teas.
- Peppermint: The cross between brook mint and wild mint, which was only discovered in 1696 and was probably created by chance, is now one of the most popular most famous plants in the world. Peppermint is extremely popular worldwide due to its refreshing aroma and has a light, pleasant spiciness.
- Thyme: Thyme is a lip flower that has been valued by people as a spice for thousands of years. It mainly grows around the Mediterranean and has a strong, hearty, slightly tart aroma.
- Lemon: To this day it is not clear where exactly the lemon, which belongs to the rue family, actually comes from. Its origins are thought to be in northern India, but due to its refreshing, sour taste it has been widespread worldwide for thousands of years.
- Orange peel: The orange is the most widely grown citrus fruit in the world. It originally comes from Asia and was only introduced to Europe in the 15th century. Its peel contains numerous essential oils, tastes similarly fruity to its pulp, but is a little less sweet and slightly bitter.
- Hibiscus: Hibiscus, sometimes also called marshmallow, originally comes from the tropics and is now special in addition to its beauty valued for its pleasantly fruity, sweet and sour tasting flowers. Thanks to its strikingly large flowers, it can be found in many European gardens.
- Matcha: Matcha tea, once reserved only for the Japanese, is still one of the finest of all types of tea today. In a complex process, the finely ground matcha powder is created from the leaves of the Tencha green tea plant, which are shaded before harvest. It is bright green and tastes sweet and fresh.
