    Application
    Intensively rinse and clean the wound with octenilin wound rinsing solution with each dressing change (octenilin wound rinsing solution can be heated to body temperature immediately before application.). Easily removable wound coverings can already be removed by this means. For dissolving fibrin coverings, bandages or wound dressings impregnated with octenilin wound rinsing solution can additionally be used. In principle, rinsing is not necessary. If necessary, the wound can be further treated with octenilin wound gel.
    Application for encrusted dressings or in case of difficult dressing change:
    In cases of dressings that are difficult to remove, it is recommended to wet or soak the wound dressings with octenilin wound irrigation solution until a gentle detachment of the dressings without traumatizing the Wound surfaces are possible. Due to the low surface tension, octenilin wound irrigation solution has a very good wetting property and thus cleaning performance on the tissue surface, even on hard-to-reach surfaces, such as rhagades, fissures and in wound pockets.
    Cleaning performance compared to biofilms
    The good cleaning power of octenilin wound rinsing solution dissolves the biofilm and thus also the microorganisms contained therein. By intensive rinsing with octenilin wound rinsing solution, biofilm and thus microorganisms are washed out of the wound, which leads to a significant reduction in germs in the wound.
    Preservation
    octenilin wound irrigation solution is preserved in such a way that the risk of germ transfer to the wider environment is significantly reduced during application. octenilin wound irrigation solution thus provides an effective germ barrier between the wound and the treated person when used as intended.
    Tissue compatibility and biocompatibility of octenilin Wound irrigation solution
    Non-irritating, non-sensitizing, painless, no tissue toxicity with inhibition of granulation and epithelization. The good tissue compatibility of octenidine has been proven by many years of clinical experience and by clinical examinations on chronic wounds.

    Contraindications
