    Product features:
    Wound gel for moisturizing and cleansing chronic wounds.
    Our plus:
    - moisturizes and cleans wounds effectively
    - dissolves encrusted wound coverings
    - supports the natural wound healing process through an ideal wound healing environment
    - with octenidine, which inactivates germs as a preservative
    - painless, particularly compatible application
    - colorless and odor-absorbing
    Areas of application:
    - for moisturizing and cleansing from chronic wounds
    - for the preservative moistening of dressings and wound dressings
    - for the gentle peeling of encrusted coverings
    - to support the instructions for use: First rinse and clean the wound over a large area (e.g. With octenilin® wound irrigation solution) to remove easily removable coverings. Then treat the wound with octenilin® wound gel and, if necessary, cover it with poultices, gauze or compresses and bandage it. octenilin® wound gel can be left on the wound until the next dressing change. The frequency of the dressing change depends on the nature of the wound and the amount of exudate and is to be adapted to the respective wound situation, but should be adjusted according to max. 3 Days. In combination with fatty gauze, the bandage should be changed daily and the wound cleaned. The application should be repeated until all deposits can be removed and the wound is visually clean.
    Can be stored for 6 weeks after opening.
    - Inactivation of germs
    octenilin® wound gel shows an excellent inactivation of germs after only 1 minute of exposure time. This was determined in a quantitative suspension experiment with a high protein load ("dirty conditions"). The results showed that the germ inactivation in the octenilin® wound gel was sufficiently effective against all test organisms after only 1 minute of exposure time. Dr. P.     - octenilin® wound gel for the treatment of second-degree burns
    In one study, octenilin® wound gel was used in 107 patients with grade II a skin burns. The moist dressing was easy to handle and could be left on the wound for up to five days due to its preservative properties. The pain could be minimized and the number of necessary dressing changes reduced. 45% of the patients reported a pleasant feeling or painlessness during the initial application.     - Tissue compatibility and biocompatibility of octenilin® wound gel
    Non-irritating, non-sensitizing, painless, no tissue toxicity with inhibition of granulation and epithelization. The good tissue compatibility of octenidine has been proven by many years of clinical experience and by clinical examinations on chronic wounds.
    Composition:
    Aqua purificata, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Octenidine HCL
    Sterile, tamper-evident.
    Shelf life at 25 °C according to shelf life specifications.
    Special notes:
    - Side effects
    Not observed so far.
    - Contraindications
    Since allergies can never be ruled out, octenilin® wound gel should not be used for known allergies or suspected allergies to one of the ingredients. In order to prevent possible tissue damage, octenilin® wound gel must not be applied to hyaline cartilage, in the ear, in the nose, the urinary bladder and in the abdominal cavity and must not get into the eye! Do not use for infusion or injection!
    - General safety instructions
    For external use only for skin wounds.
    - Do not take.
    - Use only perfect and undamaged containers.
    - Protect bottles from direct sunlight.
