Gelatin-free capsule The capsule shell of the TNT Vitamin K2 is free of animal gelatin, the shell is based on a cellulose raw material and is therefore also suitable for people who want to do without gelatin. Why vitamin K2 as a supplement? Vitamin K2 plays a crucial role in the absorption and processing of calcium and blood clotting. Vitamin K2 ensures the activation of the so-called GLA proteins (gamma-carboxylglutamic acid), which in turn control calcium and influence some coagulation factors of the blood. Vitamin K2, through the process of "carboxylation", ensures that your calcium absorbed by you through food or supplements reaches where you would like it to and strengthens and repairs bone structures there. With a lack of vitamin K2, your body cannot store some of the calcium. A lack of vitamin K2 is suspected to cause osteoporosis. Since the body itself cannot produce enough vitamin K2, we are dependent on the intake through food or a dietary supplement. The adequate supply of vitamin K2 is important for all people, an acute deficiency leads to symptoms such as a blood clotting disorder. In the long term, the risk of osteoporosis increases and calcification of the arteries can be promoted. Where else can I get vitamin K2? Vitamin K2 can be found in leafy and cabbage vegetables such as kale, parsley, spinach and broccoli as well as in foods made from animal products.
