Summary
Medicinal plant extracts from eyebright, marigold and echinacea relieve symptoms of conjunctivitis and stye, such as burning and itching.
A stye (hordeolum) usually occurs as a reaction to acute bacterial infections of the eyelid glands. Either the sweat glands on the eyelid or a sebaceous gland inside the eyelid are purulently inflamed.
The first sign is a one-sided, grain-sized, red swelling on the edge of the eyelid or eyelid, which is often very painful and later shows accumulations of pus.
Although stye is usually harmless, it should be treated properly. If symptoms such as redness, swelling and pain do not improve within 2 days despite eye ointment or eye drops, a doctor should be consulted.
The combination of eyebright, marigold and echinacea relieves the symptoms of conjunctivitis and stye. Eyebright relieves symptoms (itching, burning, pain) of inflamed, watery and red eyes. Marigold and echinacea have an anti-inflammatory effect and promote the healing process. The echinacea also has a stimulating effect on the immune system.
The eye ointment is
and well tolerated.
For the whole family - from infancy
The stye usually opens on its own after a few days; The pus drains away and the inflammation heals without complications. Dry heat through irradiation with red light promotes the “ripening” of the stye and the breakthrough of the pus. Under no circumstances should you tamper with the swelling yourself. If not expressed properly, the bacteria can easily spread. If necessary, the ophthalmologist will open the stye. Compresses with herbal additives such as chamomile extract are also not recommended. They can cause painful irritation or allergic reactions.
For conjunctivitis, we recommend Visiodoron Euphrasia® eye drops in the bottle, as well as those available in monodoses, or Visiodoron Calendula® eye drops. Its use can be recommended during the day, in addition to Visiodoron Euphrasia comp.® eye ointment, which is then preferably used at night.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, apply to the conjunctival sac several times a day.
