Description
A burn is tissue damage that often results from brief or prolonged contact with a heat source. The burn has different degrees of severity: first degree (sunburn-like with a bright red, painful lesion) and second, superficial degree (appearance of a blister).
The Urgo Waterproof Burn/Superficial Wound Plaster is for the treatment of first and second burns degree (blister formation) as well as superficial wounds (abrasions and cuts).
Its tulle contains Lipidocolloid Technology (TLC), a unique combination of hydrocolloid particles and petroleum jelly. This formula relieves pain and promotes wound healing. In addition, the bandage does not stick to the wound and allows for painless removal.

Composition of the plaster:
- A waterproof, transparent, adhesive backing material.
- A thick, absorbent compress.
- An airy, non-adhesive lipido-colloid tulle made from a consists of a shot impregnated with hydrocolloid particles and petroleum jelly.
The plasters are packed in sterile standard bags.

- To relieve pain
- To promote Wound healing for superficial burns
- Do not use on deep second degree burns or third degree burns. In these cases, medical consultation is mandatory.
- Do not apply to mucous membranes.
- Do not use to cover or fasten/hold a device.
- Contraindicated for the arteritic foot.
- Contraindicated for the infected diabetic foot.
- Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days.
- Not suitable for baths.
In the event of a burn:
- Immediately submerge the burn under cold (but not ice-cold) water hold and remain in it for 15 minutes to limit the spread of the burn.
- If there is a burn blister: Do not puncture it.
In all cases:
1. Clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Clean the wound with water or physiological saline solution. Disinfect the wound and its surroundings with an alcohol-free antiseptic solution; never use colored eosin-type antiseptics for burns. Rinse with water or physiological saline.
2. Dry the wound and its surroundings thoroughly with a sterile compress. Stop any bleeding with compression.
3. Open the bag and remove the plaster. The patch should be used immediately after opening the bag.
4. When applying the patch, make sure that you do not touch the adhesive part with your fingers and that the compress (white part) is centered over the injury:< br> - Remove the first protective slat; place the bandage while smoothing it towards the edges: to avoid wrinkles and tension on the skin and the bandage.
- Remove the second blade, proceeding in the same way.
Frequency of change :
Reapply according to these instructions for use after 24 hours and then every 48 hours until the wound has healed.
Also renew:
- If the compress appears moist after showering.
- If the compress is saturated with blood or exudate.
Removing the dressing:
- Carefully remove the dressing.
- If gel remains on the wound after removing the dressing, rinse the dressing with water.
- Only for the treatment of localized superficial wounds that are no larger than a compress. In the case of burns, the compress must extend well beyond the burn to allow the exudate to be absorbed (the size of the compress, the white part of the dressing, must be at least twice the size of the burn).
- If there are foreign bodies in the Wound, heavy bleeding, bite wounds, punctures with sharp and/or dirty objects or if you do not notice any improvement in wound healing after 6 days, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
- If children have burns, you should consult your pharmacist or doctor ask for advice.
- If there are clinical signs of local infection (heat, redness spreading to uninjured skin, pain, purulent discharge, swelling) you should consult your pharmacist or doctor.
- Get advice from Consult your pharmacist or doctor before applying the patch to the face for cosmetic reasons.
- Diabetics should only use hydrocolloid patches under medical or nursing supervision.
- Reusing a single-use product may lead to a risk of infection.
- Before use, check the integrity of the individual bag, which ensures the sterility of the product.
- The adhesion of the dressing may be affected by hair, greasy products (creams) or in joint areas with high mobility.
