The ointment must not be used
if you are hypersensitive to one of the ingredients.
do not apply due to the possible camphor content Use on infants and small children under 30 months of age (risk of laryngeal spasm).
In bronchial asthma and whooping cough, as well as pseudocroup and other respiratory diseases that are associated with pronounced hypersensitivity of the airways, inhaling the ointment can lead to cramping of the bronchial muscles.
In skin and childhood diseases with exanthema as well as on damaged or inflamed skin, e.g. B. in burns or open wounds.
in children with an increased risk of seizures.
Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Rub the chest and back with the ointment 3 times a day until the ointment has been well absorbed into the skin. Adults use an approx. 5 cm long strand of ointment per rub. In children, no more than one approximately 3 cm long strand of ointment should be applied per treatment.
Duration of application
The application should be carried out until the cold symptoms have improved.
If symptoms last longer than 3 - 5 days, if you have shortness of breath, headache, fever or purulent/bloody sputum or nasal secretion, you must urgently consult a doctor.
Like all medicines, this medicine can have side effects, although not everyone gets them must.
Inhalation (including external rubbing) can cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes, coughing and increased bronchospasm.
Inhalation (including inhaling the vapors after external rubbing) can itself trigger symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing due to narrowing of the bronchi. Asthma-like conditions and even respiratory arrest can occur reflexively via a bronchial spasm.
Hallucinations have been reported in individual cases.
Contact eczema and other hypersensitivities of the skin are possible. Redness on the treated skin area is harmless.
External, large-area application can lead to symptoms of poisoning, such as: B. Kidney damage and damage to the central nervous system, e.g. due to camphor.
Countermeasures:
If you observe any of the above-mentioned side effects, stop using the ointment and inform your doctor (immediately) so that a decision can be made about the severity and any necessary measures.
At the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction (e.g. skin rash), the medicine should not be used any further.
If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or Pharmacist. This also applies to side effects that are not specified.
