    Beurer BM 54 Bluetooth upper arm blood pressure monitor with HealthManager app. Keep an eye on your health at all times. Our BM 54 and the accompanying free app support you. The blood pressure computer fully automatically measures blood pressure and pulse on the upper arm and then displays the readings on the extra large and easy-to-read display. You can then store the values directly on the device; 2 x 60 memory slots are available. For seamless and permanent control of your health values, you can easily transfer it to the free app (available for iOS and Android) and discuss it with your doctor at any time. Arterial blood pressure changes constantly over the course of a cardiac cycle. Blood pressure is always given in the form of two values: the highest pressure in the cycle is called systolic blood pressure. It occurs when the heart muscle contracts and thus the blood is pressed into the vessels. With the Beurer PO 45 pulse oximeter you can measure your values reliably, easily and painlessly. Oxygen saturation (SpO₂), heart rate (pulse), as well as perfusion index (PI) are easy to read on the colour display. In the event of a restless measurement, you will be informed by a symbol display, so that the measurement can be carried out again for reliable values. The oxygen requirements of the body. The human organism requires approx. 400L Oxygen (O2) (Source: Rosemarie Baumann, Physiology) Oxygen keeps the body's cells alive and functioning. To transport this amount of oxygen, a transport substance is required, hemoglobin. The hemoglobin contained in the red blood cells stores the oxygen. The organs are thus supplied with oxygen via the blood circulation. The colour of the blood allows conclusions to be drawn about the oxygen saturation: light red: high oxygen saturation Dark red: low oxygen saturation The oxygen saturation shows how much percent of hemoglobin in the arterial blood is loaded with oxygen. It is therefore an important parameter for assessing the respiratory function. People with a low oxygen saturation rate are experiencing more symptoms: shortness of breath, heart rate increase, loss of performance, nervousness and sweating. A pulse oximeter is useful for high-risk patients such as: people with heart disease Chronic obstructive lung diseases Asthma bronchial athletes and healthy people who move at high altitudes (e.g. mountaineers, skiers or sports flyers) What does the perfusion index say? The perfusion index provides information about the blood circulation value of your finger. Based on the pulse strength, this indicates how much blood flows in a certain period of time. Measuring the perfusion index is important as too low a value can affect your measurement results. For reliable results, know your normal value. You can find out this using measurements under different conditions, such as activity level or measuring location. In general, the perfusion index can be between 0.3% and 20%, but the optimal value varies from person to person. Measuring range: The pulse oximeter can be used in the measuring range of: SpO₂: 70 - 100%, pulse: 30 - 250 beats/minute, PMI: 0.3 - 20%. The following measurement accuracy is achieved: SpO₂: 70 - 100%, ± 2%, pulse: 30 - 250 bpm, ± 2 mm. Beat bebe/minute PI: 0.3% - 1%; ±0.2 digits; >1.1% ± 20%. Important: Do not use the pulse oximeter with plaster dressings, nail polish or other cosmetics. A measurement can only be done when the measuring finger is exposed.
