    OHROPAX™ Classic has been the tried and tested noise protection product since 1907. The unique recipe - cotton wool soaked in a mixture of petroleum jelly and various paraffin waxes - was so successful right from the start that it has hardly had to be changed to this day.
    The success story of OHROPAX™ begins at the beginning of the 20th century in the vibrant capital Berlin. In a place that at the time was synonymous with lively hustle and bustle, never-ending noise and a hectic departure into a new era. Here, the resourceful pharmacist Maximilian Negwer brought his noise-dampening wax balls onto the market for everyone as the first product of this kind.
    Inspired by Homer's famous description of the Greek hero Odysseus, who had his ship's crew's ears sealed from the deadly song of the sirens with balls made of beeswax, Negwer literally created a classic with OHROPAX™ that still allows the luxury of silence to be experienced today.
    OHROPAX Classic is ideal for undisturbed sleeping due to its high wearing comfort. It is also a pleasant aid for general relaxation, meditation exercises, concentrated reading and work, DIY and loud music. Thanks to its tight seal, OHROPAX also offers protection from moisture and wind.
    The subtle skin-colored balls can be optimally adapted to each ear canal and significantly reduce noise pollution. What contributes to the high level of comfort is that the supple and skin-friendly material adheres securely to the ear and there is no feeling of pressure.
    Before using it when there is a lot of noise, you should first check whether the plug is suitable for this level of noise. Please take the sound insulation values ​​and the safety instructions into account (see product information).
    OHROPAX™ Classic has high sound insulation values ​​across the entire frequency range.
    How do I find out whether the product is suitable for a certain noise level?
    To simplify things, you can also calculate with the following (approximate) average values:
    A device produces a sound level of 100 dB at a frequency of 1000 Hz. OHROPAX Classic attenuates the sound at this frequency by 22.6 dB (known as protection APV). The noise level remains at 77.4 dB. OHROPAX Classic is suitable because the value is below 85 dB.
