    • Summary
    Hypertonic sodium chloride solutions have been used successfully for decades to treat corneal edema in the eye - especially after operations (e.g. cataracts, corneal transplants, glaucoma, LASEK) or diagnostic procedures (e.g. gonioscopy). Its use makes sense wherever rapid swelling of the cornea needs to be achieved. OCUsalin® 5% removes excess fluid from the edematous cornea via the semi-permeable corneal epithelium, purely through its physical-osmotic properties. The swelling subsides and there is a rapid improvement in vision.
    OCUsalin® 5% is a sterile, hypertonic, ophthalmic sodium chloride solution free of preservatives. OCUsalin® 5% is used particularly successfully after eye surgery (e.g. cataract surgery) and diagnostic procedures on the eye after the osmotic balance of the corneal tissue has been disturbed.
    OCUsalin® 5% should be dripped into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 3-5 times daily.
    10 ml eye drops
    After opening the bottle for the first time, do not use the product for longer than 90 days.
    Store between 2°C and 25°C. Protect from frost. After use, close the bottle again with the cap. Store the bottle in the original carton protected from light.
