Description
The Natural Blend is a special creation of the Frankfurter Rösterei Hoppenworth & Ploch. As the name suggests, only coffee beans are used for the mixture, which were processed dry after the harvest, as so -called natural ones. The Hoppenworth & Ploch roastery understands its craft. The choice of raw coffee of a farm from Brazil and Ethiopia is no coincidence. The combination and the mixture were deliberately chosen so that the flavors and features of the beans complement each other perfectly. In addition to the dry preparation, the coffee beans have another common ground: The farms Fazenda Dutra (Brazil) and Tega & Tula (Ethiopia) are both organic certified with their cultivation, so that the mixture also bears an organic certificate. The Frankfurters carefully developed the roasting profile to stage the strengths and special features of the varieties. The result is a medium -sized espresso in the degree of roasting, which displays a striking number of origin. Thanks to the natural preparation, the espresso tastes particularly sweet. Overall, its taste of chocolate with notes of forest berries is reminiscent of.
The name of the Natural Blend is a pretty precise name of what is in the bag. As a blend (in contrast to the single Origin), it is a mixture of coffee beans from different origins. In the case of this espresso from Hoppenworth & Ploch, the beans come from Brazil and Ethiopia. While some blends also contain beans of the Robusta variety, the Natural Blend from Hoppenworth & Ploch is a mixture of 100 % Arabica coffee beans. The term "natural", on the other hand, refers to what happens to the coffee beans or coffee cherries between harvesting and roasting - even before the beans leave their origin. During the natural process, the freshly harvested coffee cherries are carefully and mostly dried in the sun before the pulp is separated from the core-the later coffee bean. Due to the long contact of drying pulp to the coffee bean, flavors and sugar from the pulp to the coffee bean, which creates a sweet and often fruity taste. In the end, a large part of the taste properties of Hoppenworth & Ploch.
