When NASENSPRAY AL 0.05% is used at the same time as certain mood-enhancing drugs (MAO inhibitors of the tranylcypromine type or tricyclic antidepressants) as well as drugs that increase blood pressure, an increase in blood pressure can occur due to effects on cardiac and circulatory functions. Important information about certain other ingredients of NASENSPRAY AL 0.05% The preservative contained in NASENSPRAY AL 0.05% (benzalkonium chloride) can cause swelling of the nasal mucosa, especially if used for a long time. If such medicines are not available for use in the nose without a preservative, another dosage form should be considered.
Always use NASENSPRAY AL 0.05% exactly according to the instructions in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Insert the spray opening into the nostril and press the spray attachment down firmly once. Inhale gently through your nose while spraying.
NASEN SPRAY AL 0.05% should not be used for longer than 7 days unless on doctor's orders. Reapplication should only be carried out after a break of several days. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of NASENSPRAY AL 0.05% is too strong or too weak.
Poisoning can occur due to significant overdose or accidental ingestion of the drug. In this case you should inform your doctor immediately. The clinical picture of poisoning with NASENSPRAY AL 0.05% can be confusing, as phases of stimulation can alternate with phases of suppression of the central nervous system and the cardiovascular system.

Symptoms of central nervous system stimulation include anxiety, agitation, hallucinations, and convulsions. Symptoms resulting from inhibition of the central nervous system include low body temperature, lethargy, drowsiness and coma.

In the event of poisoning, a doctor should be informed immediately. Monitoring and therapy in hospital are necessary.
