Description
Mepiform is specifically designed to treat old hypertrophic scars and keloids and prevent new ones from forming. The Safetac layer reduces pain and trauma when changing dressings. It is made of silicone, which has been proven to have a positive effect on hypertrophic scars and keloids (1),(2),(3),(4),(5).
Mepiform is a thin and comfortable bandage made of fleece with breathable Polyurethane film and Safetac technology, which is suitable for the treatment of old and fresh hypertrophic scars and keloids.

If you use the bandage for preventative purposes, your patients should wear it for between two and six months, depending on the condition of the scar. Ideally it should be worn 24 hours a day, except when showering or bathing.
1. Remove the film. Cut the bandage into shape if necessary.
2. Apply Mepiform to the scar. Make sure the skin is clean, dry and free of ointments.
3. Reapply the bandage after daily cleaning of the scar.
