Description
The all-in-one foam dressing Mepilex Border Flex has exceptional adhesion. It can be used in a variety of ways to treat many different wounds, e.g. B. Diabetic foot ulcers, venous foot ulcers, skin tears and traumatic wounds.
The unique Flex technology allows the bandage to stretch 360 degrees, allowing it to conform to the body and even used for wounds in difficult to bandage areas of the body can be. It can also be worn longer compared to other wound dressings (1), (2). In addition, better exudate management is enabled for both normal and viscous exudate (2). In fluid retention tests, Mepilex Border Flex outperformed all other all-in-one dressings by a whopping 125% (2). The unique adhesive ability of the wound dressing prevents premature detachment. This gives you more control over the frequency of dressing changes.
The wound dressing absorbs bacteria and directs them through the dressing into the special retention layer in which the bacteria are retained. Once the bacteria are “trapped” in the layer, they can no longer enter the wound bed, even when the dressing is under pressure (3),(4),(5).
Size: 7, 5 x 7.5 cm
The five-layer wound dressing also features Safetac, the original contact layer with silicone adhesion, which minimizes pain when changing dressings. It lies gently on the skin without sticking to the moist wound (6), so you can easily remove the bandage without damaging the skin (7), (8). This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients (9).
The new protective layer includes Exudate Control Points, a grid of equally spaced exudate tracking points that allows you to capture and share information between dressing changes and optimize the efficiency of dressing use. Mepilex Border Flex in larger versions now has a new three-part release film that makes it easier to apply to different types of wounds on different parts of the body.
Fewer dressing changes than others - lasts up to 7 days (6),(7)
The products were tested on particularly mobile parts of the body. We are convinced that what lasts there for 7 days also adheres reliably to all other parts of the body.
- 2 times longer than Aquacel Foam*
- 3 times longer than Biatain Silicone**
*Test region: elbow
* *Test region: Knee
Advantages:
- Unique adhesion that allows for longer wear times and prevents premature detachment (1),(2)
- Adaptable construction with 360 degree stretch, for different wound types and body shapes
- Improved exudate management with bacterial entrapment (3),(4),(5)
- Reduction in the number of bacteria with each dressing change. Bacteria are safely and quickly absorbed and trapped from the wound. Completely without active ingredients.
- Safetac wound contact layer for less pain when changing dressings (6),(7),(8),(9)
- Tracking and recording of the exudate progress for more efficient use of the dressing
- Strong exudate< br> - Showerproof
- Impermeable to viruses and bacteria
