Summary
medpro® Maxi & mini test strips are only suitable for use with the medpro® Maxi and medpro® mini blood glucose meters for quantitative blood glucose measurement. The measurement result is designed for the use of fresh capillary blood from the fingertip. It should not be used to diagnose diabetes mellitus. Professional users can test with capillary and venous whole blood; Personal users should only test with capillary whole blood.
Important: Please wash and dry your hands thoroughly before starting a measurement.
Insert the test strip into the measuring device until the contact strip is completely inside the measuring device. As soon as the test strip is inserted, the measuring system carries out several self-checks. Please ensure that the code number shown on the display matches the one printed on the test strip container.
For a blood sugar measurement you need approx. 1.1 μL of blood. Touch the sample application field with the drop of blood and allow the blood to be sucked in until the sample application field is completely filled with blood. A sufficient amount of blood is required for a correct result. Do not use a smeared drop of blood. The device begins a countdown.
After a few seconds, the device will show you your blood sugar value on the display and the result will be saved at the same time. The device switches off automatically after removing the test strip.
Make sure you have used the code strip. When you open a new container of test strips, use the code strip to code the measurement system. Please read the manual for more information.
The medpro® Maxi and medpro® mini blood sugar measuring system is calibrated to plasma equivalent. The measurements are displayed either in milligrams of glucose per deciliter of blood (mg/dL) or in millimoles of glucose per liter of blood (mmol/L).
