Description
When combined with medicinal honey, it comes into close contact with the wound bed. Its porous structure made of a polyester tulle allows exudate to pass from the wound into a secondary dressing. It also prevents the bandage from sticking to the wound.
Has a bacteriostatic effect. Thanks to the high osmotic activity of honey, it creates an environment that reduces the growth of microbes: the osmotic pressure causes bacterial cells to be deprived of their fluid, thereby inhibiting their growth.
It also promotes wound healing: the osmotic process in the wound stimulates the influx of substances that in turn promote wound healing. Naturally produced chestnut honey represents a rich source of vitamins, enzymes, minerals (especially calcium, magnesium and potassium), which additionally stimulate wound healing and shorten the time of scar formation.
It has a fine and light appearance.
Through Irradiation sterile product.
Cannot be reused.
Dimensions: 5 x 5 cm
Efficacy:
- Stimulating granulation and epithelialization
- Reducing the risk of wound infection
- No adhesions with the wound
- Pain-free when changing dressings
- For treating the wound bed of a wide range of wounds (chronic or acute)
- For treating skin abrasions, wounds with little excretion and mild lesions
After opening From the sterile packaging, peel off the two protective films and apply the tulle after cleaning and drying the wound.
Then place a secondary dressing over it, which will absorb the exudate (fluid and pus) that passes through the tulle.
Then apply a fixation bandage or plaster.
The tulle can be cut to the size of the wound. It can also be folded.
At the beginning of the wound healing, it is recommended to change the tulle every two days, as the honey is diluted by the exudate. Later, when the amount of exudate decreases, change the tulle every three to four days.
If the tulle sticks to the wound or has dried up, remove it with physiological fluid.
The tulle is not absorbent: therefore must a second bandage can be placed over it (secondary bandage).
The tulle does not have to be changed every time: it is enough to change the secondary bandage. This protects the wound bed and preserves the granulation and the newly formed tissue.
