Description
Flamigel is a colloidal hydroactive gel for the treatment of small wounds that promotes rapid skin healing by covering the wound and creating a moist environment for wound healing. Flamigel is used after therapeutic laser treatment and is intended to treat superficial burns (including those induced by radiation therapy) and small wounds (e.g. abrasions, cuts). Flamigel can also be used on superficial open wounds.
Flamigel's colloidal hydroactive formula contributes to rapid relief of pain caused by small wounds through its cooling effect. Flamigel helps create optimal wound healing conditions to accelerate cell renewal. This way the wound heals faster and the risk of scarring is reduced. Flamigel forms a protective layer on the wound and protects it from external contamination. Flamigel can be used on both dry and moist wounds:
- If the wound is dry, Flamigel supplies the wound with moisture (hydrogel effect). This absorbs the water contained in Flamigel, which promotes the dissolution of necrotic/injured tissue.
- In weeping wounds, the hydrocolloid contained in Flamigel is activated; Flamigel absorbs excess exudate and restores and maintains the water balance in the wound (hydrocolloid effect).
Helps to quickly relieve wound pain
Wash your hands before and after treating the wound. Carefully clean and dry the wound before applying the gel.
For superficial burns and small wounds (e.g. abrasions, cuts): Apply Flamigel carefully to the wound once or twice a day (without rubbing ) (two to six times a day for sunburn). If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster or bandage, which should be changed daily.
For superficial open wounds: Apply a thick layer (5 mm) of Flamigel to the wound, avoiding the edges of the wound. Cover Flamigel with a sterile, non-adhesive dressing and secure it with gauze or a bandage. Leave Flamigel in place for as long as the structure of the gel remains intact. As new skin cells begin to form and the wound gradually closes, apply a thin layer of Flamigel to prevent maceration. If necessary, protect the edges of the wound.
Open wounds: Change the dressing daily.
Removing the gel:
- Wash your hands before and after removing Flamigel.
- Flamigel can easily and can be removed painlessly with a damp gauze.
For external use.
Adverse effects such as irritation or allergic reactions are rare.
Do not use Flamigel if you have a known allergic reaction to parabens or any of the ingredients .
Do not use Flamigel on the eyelids or in the eyes. If Flamigel® gets into your eyes, rinse them under running water and seek medical attention.
If wounds are heavily exuding or infected, you should consult a doctor before using Flamigel, as additional additional treatments may be necessary.< br> If the wound swells, becomes red or painful or does not begin to heal after a few days, consult a doctor.
