For sterilization, one of the following methods can be used: steam sterilization (electric or microwave, depending on the manufacturer's instructions), sterilization in boiling water (at least 5 minutes) or in a sterilization solution (according to the manufacturer's instructions). Do not use aggressive detergents. Never immerse the teat in sweet foods or medicines. This can cause tooth decay. To ensure safety and hygiene, replace the pacifier every 1 to 2 months. Do not be afraid if the pacifier gets stuck in the mouth. The special pacifier design with ventilation holes allows your baby to breathe even in this case. The pacifier can not be swallowed. Remove the pacifier as carefully as possible. MAM recommends weaning from the pacifier until the age of 3. Instructions for use Sterilizing box: Remove the safety seal and any attached labels from the box. Clean the pacifier and box with mild soapy water before use and then rinse with clean water. This is to ensure hygiene. When using the self-sterilizing method, please make sure that the pacifier, the box and the microwave (including the waveguide cover and turntable) are PERFECTLY CLEAN and free of dirt, food residues, grease or oil splashes. If this is not the case, the product may melt as a result. In addition, sparks can occur in the microwave or the waveguide cover could catch fire! First, fill the box with 25 ml of water to the mark. Then place the pacifier(s) in the box with the nipple facing down. Close the box and stand at 750-1,000 watts in heat it in the microwave. Set the time on the microwave according to the number of boxes to be sterilized at the same time. Follow the manufacturer's instructions in the instruction manual of your microwave oven. Do not place the sterilizing box in the center of the rotating plate. Do not leave the microwave unattended during the sterilization process. If all the water has evaporated, turn off the microwave immediately. After the sterilization procedure, let it cool for at least 5 minutes. Open the microwave. Attention! Box, water and pacifier can still be very hot after 5 minutes cooling time! After sterilization in the microwave, pacifiers stored in the unopened box remain disinfected for up to 48 hours. Or open the box and empty the remaining water. Let the pacifier dry in the slightly opened box. Check the temperature of the pacifier before use! Insufficient amount of water, watt strength or programming time can damage the device, the pacifier or the box and lead to poor disinfection! Only suitable for MAM pacifiers! Keep the sterilizing box out of the reach of children.

Only use special pacifier straps that comply with EN 12586. Never attach other ribbons or cords to a pacifier, your child may strangle himself with them. Do not expose the pacifier to direct sunlight or heat and never place it in disinfectant solutions for longer than recommended, as this may affect the suction part.
