Description
Origin and Plantation
The Finca La Reforma was built in 1892 by Rafael Alvarez L on the slopes of the Santa Ana volcano. Today it is owned by the fourth generation of this family. The Red Bourbon Arabica planted there grows in the shade of native trees that improve the soil and also provide a home for birds. The perfect growing conditions and the commitment to sustainable cultivation result in an excellent Arabica coffee.
Character and Taste
La Reforma is perfect as a 100% single-origin coffee and impresses with a balanced body and a light,
chocolatey
spiciness. The fruit is pleasantly reminiscent of
apricot and cherry.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Coffee has been cultivated in El Salvador since the middle of the 18th century. Only Arabica is planted. Cultivation takes place primarily on the slopes facing the sea. Due to this long tradition, coffee is more than just a business for the farmers. They view cultivation as an art - with quality as their primary duty.
