Description
The RUNDE SACHE is the perfect 5/8 inch razor for beginners and people who value a robust knife with a modern design. In terms of its sharpness, thoroughness and handling, it is in no way inferior to its brothers. All surfaces of the razor are finely ground by hand in several stages. The special thing about this knife is that both the front and back of the blade have been elaborately engraved. SCOPE OF DELIVERY: Razor MATERIAL: Carbon steel 1.2210, decorated with engraving on the front and back HANDLE MATERIAL: Plastic PMMA BLADE DESCRIPTION: Straight head, pointed back, concave mirror, thumb hole GRIND: fully hollow BLADE WIDTH: 5/8"" PACKAGING: Embossed and Gold-decorated packaging made of high-quality cardboard, made in SolingenShaving with a razorMoisten the beard area with water that is as warm as possible. The more thoroughly you lather it with a brush, the easier and gentler it will be to cut the hair. Use a strong shaving cream or soap as it allows the blade to glide more easily over the skin. Start with the smooth surfaces of your face. Carefully unfold the knife and hold it with your thumb and three fingers so that the opened shell faces away from your face.

To start, just shave the sideburns and the rest as usual. On the following days, you will shave larger areas of your face in order to develop a feeling for safe shaving with a knife. Facial skin prepared with shaving foam needs to be tightened. (To prevent injuries to scars or skin blemishes, it makes sense to remove the shaving soap from these areas.) Tense the shaving zone with the fingers of your free hand and move the knife at an angle of 30°, initially with the beard growth, then carefully against the grain the next time you shave. Always pull the razor evenly. Keep it a little steeper on the cheekbones, dimples of the chin and on the upper lip.Protect against injuriesOnly use knives that are in good condition. Never move the blade horizontally, otherwise you will injure yourself with deep and dangerous cuts. When held too flat, the knife tears the stubble; when held too steeply, it cuts the skin.

If you drop the knife or the blade jams when folding into the bowl, it must no longer be used and must be re-sharpened by a specialist. Simply pulling it off on a leather strap is not enough. Never touch the blade with your fingers while cleaning to avoid cuts and to avoid ruining the cutting edge of the knife.Caring for the razorAfter shaving, clean the knife thoroughly with clean water and gently dab it. (Never rub the blade dry with a cloth, otherwise you will destroy the fine burr.) Carefully grease the blade with a little oil if you are not going to use the knife for a long time. Store it in a dry and well-ventilated place. If the knife doesn't shave well, sharpen it by honing it. Always remove the knife before shaving, not after! Let the knife rest for 24 hours beforehand. During this time, a large part of the burr will straighten itself out again, the knife will be protected and will retain its sharpness for longer.

Blunt knives require more pressure and increase the risk of cuts. Removing the bladeWe recommend hanging straps made of fine cowhide. The stropping belt must be well tensioned, as a sagging belt will cause the blade to become rounded. The leather side can be rubbed very thinly with leather grease and rolled in with the heel of your hand. This protects against drying out, keeps them supple and also extends their lifespan. The leathering (pulling) is carried out at a flat angle with the back placed on the leather, which points away from the body in the direction of pulling. When changing, the knife should be turned over the back and then pulled back towards the body, i.e. always against the cutting edge! A change in direction over the cutting edge causes it to become round (convex) and lose the cut. Re-sharpening by a professional is then necessary.

Each razor is unique as it reflects natural color and tone variations present in each horn/handle material. The color may vary from the product shown.!!! Razors are very sharp and should under no circumstances be allowed into the hands of c
