1. What is diclac pain gel and what is it used for?
Diclac pain gel contains an active ingredient from the group of so-called non-steroidal anti-phlogistics/analgesics (inflammatory and pain inhibitors) with diclofenac sodium.

2. What should you consider before using diclac pain gel?

if you allergic to diclofenac, soy, peanut, 2-benzyliden hept anal, citronellol, benzyl (2-hydroxybenzoat), geraniol, rac- (1r) -4- (4-hydroxy -4-methylpentyl) CycloHex-3-en-1-carbaldehyde, 7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyloctanal, 2- (4-tert-butylbenzyl) propanal or one of the other components of this drug mentioned in section 6.
If you have reacted in the past with breathing problems (asthma, bronchospasm), skin reactions (hives), running nose or swelling of the face or tongue after taking/using acetylsalicylic acid or another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen) .

Warnings and precautions:
Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Diclac pain gel. If Diclac pain gel is applied extensively to the skin and applied over a longer period of time, the occurrence of side effects that affect a certain organ system or the entire organism cannot be ruled out. These side effects are comparable to those that may occur when taking other diclofenac-containing medicines. Diclac pain gel does not apply for a long time or in higher doses than the specified. Diclac pain gel may only be applied to intact, non -sick or injured skin and not to open wounds. The eyes and mucous membranes must not come into contact with the medicine and it must not be taken. If Diclac pain gel gets into her eyes, rinse them carefully with water. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if the symptoms stop. You can use an association, but no occlusal association (densely final association). Before putting on an association, Diclac pain gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes.
Special caution in the application is necessary for acute conditions that are associated with strong redness, swelling or overheating of joints. In the event of ongoing joint complaints or in the case of violent back pain that radiate into the legs and/ or are connected with neurological failure (e.g. numbness, tingling), a doctor should be consulted. In the event of complaints that have not improved or worsen after 3-5 days, you should see a doctor. If you suffer from asthma, hay fever or nasal mucosal swelling (so-called nasal polyps) or chronic, bronchy-compatible (obstructive) respiratory diseases, chronic respiratory infections (particularly coupled with hay fever-like phenomena) or hypersensitivity to other pain and rheumatism. Pain gel caused by asthma attacks (so-called analgesic intolerance/analgesics), local skin and mucosal swelling (so-called quinc-edema) or hives (urticaria) rather endangered than other patients. In this case, Diclac pain gel may only be used under certain precautionary measures (emergency willingness) and direct medical control. The same applies if you also react hypersensively against other substances, such as with skin reactions, itching or nettle fever.
If a rash occurs during treatment with Diclac pain gel, end the treatment. During the treatment, the sensitivity to light can occur with the occurrence of skin symptoms after exposure to light. It should be ensured that children with their hands do not come into contact with the grated skin areas.
Children and adolescents:
diclac pain gel must not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 14, since there is no sufficient experiences for this age group.
Use of diclac pain gel together with other medicinal products:
inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take/use other medicines, recently taken/use other medicines or intend to accept/apply other medicines. So far, no interactions have become known for intended, external use of Diclac pain gel.
pregnancy and lactation:

In the first and second third of pregnancy, Diclac pain gel should only be used after consultation with the doctor. In the last third of the pregnancy you must not use Diclac pain gel because an increased risk of complications for mother and child cannot be ruled out.
breastfeeding:

3. How is diclac pain gel to be applied?
Always use this medicine as described in this package insert or exactly according to your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents from the age of 14:
Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, a cherry to walnut-sized amount is 1-4 g (10-40 mg diclofenac- Sodium), required. The maximum total daily dose is 16 g gel, according to 160 mg diclofenac sodium. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Diclac pain gel is used 3 to 4 times a day. In the event of complaints that have not improved or worsened after 3-5 days, a doctor should be consulted. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Diclac pain gel is too strong or too weak.
older patients:
No special dose adjustment is required. However, older patients should pay particular attention to side effects when using and, if necessary, consult their doctor or pharmacist.

Children and adolescents under the age of 14:
There is not sufficient data on effectiveness and tolerance in children and adolescents under the age of 14 (see section 2).
Young people aged 14 and over:
In young people aged 14 and older, the patient/parents are advised to see a doctor if the medicine is needed for more than 7 days for pain treatment or the symptoms deteriorate.
Duration of the application:
As a rule, depending on the symptoms and the underlying disease, an application over 1 - 2 weeks is sufficient. With a long -term application, you should see your doctor. This then decides depending on the indication and symptoms about the duration of use. Do not apply Diclac pain gel than necessary and only for the minimally required duration of use.
Type of application:
diclac pain gel is only intended for use on the skin. Do not take! Apply the diclac pain gel to the affected parts of the body thinly and rub it in slightly. It should not be rubbed with pressure. Then the hands should be washed, unless these are the area to be treated. Before putting on an association, Diclac pain gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes. If you have applied a larger amount of diclac pain gel than you should:
due to the low inclusion of diclofenac to the overall organism with limited use on the skin, overdose is unlikely. 4. What side effects are possible?
