The elegant champagne cups exemplify the great success of the Kurland collection. Because they skilfully combine tradition and modernity, so that the hand-painted champagne cups with their elegant gold rim delight every connoisseur - whether at an aperitif or at dinner. The Kurland collection testifies to the traditional history of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory, as in 1790 Peter Biron, Duke of Kurland, commissioned it to design and produce a magnificent table service. Influenced by its classicist origins, the KURLAND collection is characterized by antique styles. At the end of the 18th century, the Berlin manufactory created a service in a strictly classicist form called “Service with antique canthe”. It was only in the 19th century that the shape was renamed “KURLAND” as a tribute to its patron.

The KPM Berlin brand was founded in 1751. “White gold”, as porcelain is still called today, was the great passion of Frederick II of Prussia, who took over the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin from the merchant Johann Ernst Gatzkowsky in 1763. The king gave it the name and his symbol: the cobalt blue scepter, which to this day distinguishes KPM's exclusive pieces as original. Until the abdication of Wilhelm II in 1918, KPM in Berlin was owned by seven kings and emperors and can rightly be counted as one of the most exclusive and historic German brands. With the end of the monarchy in 1918, the KPM became a state porcelain factory. After the Second World War, the manufactory fell to the state of Berlin, which changed the name back to the Royal Porcelain Manufactory and sold it to Jörg Woltmann in 2006.
