1. What is Calcimagon-D3 UN and what is it used for?
Calcimagon-D3 UN are white, round chewing tablets, which contain the substances that are important for bone formation calcium and vitamin D3. Calcimagon-D3 UN is used to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency in older people and as an additional treatment to support specific osteoporos therapy.
2. What should you consider before taking Calcimagon-D3 UN?
Calcimagon-D3 UN may not be taken:
if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D or one of the other components of this drug mentioned in Section 6.
if you have a serious impairment of the kidney function.
if you have too high calcium levels in the blood or urine.
If you suffer from kidney stones.
If you have too high vitamin D levels in the blood.
Warnings and precautionary measures:
Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Calcimagon-D3 UNO:
If you receive long-term treatment, especially when taking diuretics (for the treatment of high blood pressure or edema) Or heart glycosides (for the treatment of heart diseases).

Taking Calcimagon-D3 UN together with other medicinal products:
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take other medicines, have recently taken or intend to take other medicines. The intake of tetracyklin preparations (antibiotics) can be influenced by the simultaneous intake of calcium carbonate. For this reason, tetracycline-containing medicines should be taken at least 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after taking Calcimagon-D3 UN. Bisphosphonate preparations (for the treatment of osteoporosis) should be taken at least 1 hour before Calcimagon-D3 UN. Calcium can reduce the effect of levothyroxins (administered to the treatment of thyroid hormone deficiency). Therefore, please take levothyroxine at least 4 hours before or 4 hours according to Calcimagon-D3 UN. The effect of Chinolon antibiotics can be reduced while administration of calcium. Please take Chinolon antibiotics 2 hours before or 6 hours after Calcimagon-D3 UN. Calcium can reduce the absorption of iron, zinc and strontium ranelate. Therefore, please take medicines that contain iron, zinc and strontium ranelate 2 hours before or 2 hours according to Calcimagon-D3 UN.

Calcimagon-D3 UN can be taken with or without food or liquid.

3. How should Calcimagon-D3 be taken?

Application in children and adolescents:

4. What side effects are possible?
