    The propolis capsules contain pure propolis from 100% natural origin. We only use high-quality propolis from regional as well as national (e.g. Latvia), rural and idyllic beekeepers. Each capsule contains 320mg of propolis, which corresponds to almost 800mg of pure propolis.
    Propolis is a resin produced by bees that is used to seal beehives. To do this, the insects use various resins (plants). In addition to sealing, it also serves to disinfect the hive. This is how the bees protect themselves from pathogens and intruders.

    Thanks to the propolis, the bees can live in large colonies in such a small area. The putty resin not only sterilizes your hives, it insulates them from the outside so that enemies and drafts cannot get in. We source this important bee product and its special properties from the best beekeepers. These are idyllic, pesticide-free and oxygen-rich regions with many different plants and trees. Not all propolis is the same, so we not only value high quality (the dark color is an indication of this) but also that no chemical substances or additives are added to the propolis capsules and other propolis products.
    What is propolis?
    Propolis, along with honey, pollen and royal jelly, is considered one of the most important substances for bees. The worker bees collect the substance, which consists predominantly of resin and wax, and bring it into their hive. The hive bees take the propolis from the worker bees and use it to insulate the hive, seal cracks and use the propolis to create a kind of doormat at the entrance to the hive. This doormat serves as a disinfectant for the returning worker bees and its disinfectant properties prevent bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms from getting inside their hive. To ensure that the hive remains antiviral and sterile and can keep other insects and bacteria away, the bees not only narrow the entrance holes with the propolis, they also seal the entire hive with it. Only the bees can walk over the propolis with their sensitive legs without any problems; all other insects would remain stuck in the sticky substance. The bees use the propolis not only against foreign intruders, but above all to protect against diseases and bacteria within the bee colony.
