Aquaphor promotes the formation of a physiological skin regeneration environment, a kind of protective shield, in order to improve the barrier function of the skin. This is achieved due to the water vapor-permeable (semi-occlusive) formula, which forms a protective film on the skin and prevents possible stagnation of moisture. In addition, the repair cream with the active ingredients panthenol and bisabolol has a calming effect on irritated skin. The effectiveness and skin compatibility of the ointment in connection with dermatological treatments in scientific studies have been proven. It is recommended as a skin care for xerosis as well as for stressed, dry skin, e.g. by frequent hand washing at work, but also for irritated and reddened skin due to e.g. heavy use during sports. Eucerin Aquaphor is also gentle on sensitive baby skin and is suitable as a baby cream, for example in the cold or as a diaper cream, for ""Slugging"" (mask for enclosing the night skin care products) or as a moisturizing care for tattoos*.
