    Description

     Bell AH-1W Super Cobra Combat Helicopter.  pieces to mount and paint for a finished length of 28.8 cm and a wingspan of 30.6 cm. When it first appeared in the 1960s, the Bell AH-1 (AH = Attack Helicopter) was the world's first combat helicopter. The aircraft had a very thin fuselage, which offered only a frontal surface reduced to the fire of the enemy. This cell made itecessary to create a cockpit positioning the gunner (at the front) and the pilot (at the rear) on two levels. To meet the requirements of the US-Marine-Corps, the aircraft had two engines to cover long distances, an additional rear armament, and wings for carrying weapons systems. Successive improvements led to the Bell AH-1W SuperCobra, which made its first flight in 1983.
