    In 2015, nearly 3.5 million people in the UK suffered from the widespread diabetes mellitus - also known as diabetes. In the opinion of the Diabetes UK Foundation, monitoring is extremely important to avert some of the possible complications associated with diabetes. When monitoring your diabete, you need to know your blood glucose, blood pressure and blood fat levels as well as perform various physical examinations to look for signs of problems. The Beurer GL50 Evo blood glucose monitor allows easy, regular and timely monitoring of your blood sugar levels in your home and in collaboration with medical professionals. The GL50 EVO meter has been clinically tested at the Institute of Diabetes in Karlsburg, Germany. It is a compact 3-in-1 set with blood glucose monitor, licking aid and USB stick with built-in software. Data transfer to the Beurer HealthManager system is done via the built-in USB port or optionally via Bluetooth or NFC adapter. This kit includes everything you need to get started: innovative 3-in-1 device, AST cap, 5 lancet needles, 5 code-free test strips (individually wrapped), electronic blood sugar diary (available in app and on PC), a case and user manual not in English! Only 0.6 μl blood is required for effective reading (which is approx. 5 seconds), but the built-in detection system allows measurement only when a sufficient blood sample has been provided to ensure accuracy. Average blood sugar display is given for 7, 14, 30 or 90 days. Uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included).
