    Bariemon Multivitamin Multimineral is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary treatment of malnutrition after bariatric procedures (tubular stomach, roux-en-Y stomach bypass, duodenal switch). Additional dietary supplement may be required for patients following a biliopankreatic diversion
    Bariatric interventions reduce nutrient intake because they change the anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal tract. Bariatric procedures also lead to changes in diet and eating behaviour.
    The most common deficiencies are vitamin D, iron, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin B12, thiamine (B1), folic acid, vitamin C and protein, especially in the post-operative phase. The deficiencies can be seen as: anaemia, fatigue, reduced bone density and thus increased risk of bone breakage, visual disorders, skin and hair changes and reduced muscle mass. The deficiency symptoms do not occur immediately, but can gradually develop over several months or years.
    Food for special medical purposes Bariemon contains vitamins and minerals, but no calcium and no protein. It is therefore very important that you also take the following: at least 1000-1200 mg of calcium. It is very important that the calcium is present in the form of calcium citrate, in the first months after the procedure at least 30 g of high-quality protein (e.g. milk protein). * Summary recommendations of the EASO (European Obesities Society).
    Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Bariemon is also intended for women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. After a bariatric intervention, pregnant women need special monitoring and an additional supply of certain nutrients (folic acid, iron, vitamin B12 and protein). Consult your doctor. For further information, we recommend the EASO guidelines.
    Product Safety


    Do not take Bariemon if you are allergic to any of the ingredients; have a severely limited kidney or liver function; have vitamin A and/or D hypervitaminos; have abnormal iron or copper metabolism; have an increased calcium level in the blood (hypercalcium temia) or urine (hypercalcium). Food for special medical purposes Bariemon must be used under medical supervision. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Bariemon is not suitable as a sole food source. Bariemon should not be used as a replacement for a varied diet. If you take already prescribed medication with vitamin D, iron or other nutrients, consult your doctor before taking BarieMon. Consult your doctor, pharmacist or nutritionist before taking additional dietary supplements or enriched foods, as the cumulative dose of nutrients can cause hypervitaminosis.



    Carrier: maltodextrin, mannitol, vitamin A (retinyl acetate, beta-carotene), vitamin D (cholecalciferol), vitamin E (DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate), thiamine (thiamine mononitrate), riboflavin (riboflavin 5′ phosphate sodium), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B. 12 (CyCyCyanocobalamin), folic acid (pteroyl monoglutamic acid), pantothenic acid (calcium D-pantothenate), niacin (nicotinamide), biotin (D-biotin), vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), vitamin K (phylloquinone), chrome (chromium picolinate), copper (copper gluconate), iodine (potassium iodine). iron (iron bisglycinate), manganese (manganese sulfate), molybdenum (sodium molybdate), selenium (sodium selenite), zinc (zinc citrate), film coating: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, talc, polydextrose, corn starch, calcium carbonate, polyethylene glycol, iron oxide.



    The recommended dose is one capsule daily. The capsule is taken with liquid. Avoid taking Bariemon within two hours after taking a calcium preparation or milk. The high calcium content of the milk reduces iron absorption. In addition to BarieMon, we recommend the use of calcium citrate and 30 g of high-quality protein.
