Information on electrical and electronic devices. The following instructions are intended for private households that use electrical and/or electronic devices. 1. Notes on the disposal of electrical and electronic devices and the importance of the symbol according to Annex 3 on the ElektroG: owners of old appliances have given them a detection separate from the unsorted settlement waste. Electrical and electronic devices must therefore not be eliminated as unsorted settlement waste and belong in particular in household waste. Instead, these waste devices must be collected separately and disposed of via the local collection and return systems. Owners of old devices also have to disconnect used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old device before delivery at a detection point. The latter does not apply, as long as the old devices are separated according to § 14 paragraph 5 paragraph 2 and 3 ElektroG as part of the option by the public law disposal carrier for the purpose of preparation for reuse of other old appliances, in order to prepare them for reuse. Using the symbol according to Annex 3 to the ElektroG, owners can recognise old devices that are collected separately from the unsorted settlement waste. The symbol for the separate detection of electrical and electronic devices represents a crossed-out wheelie bin. 2. Notes on the possibility of returning old appliances: owners of old appliances can give them as part of the possibilities of return or collection of old appliances set up by public law disposal carriers to ensure proper disposal of the old appliances. If necessary, a delivery of electrical and electronic devices is also possible to reuse the devices. More information about this can be found from the respective collection or return point.
