    The right tamper is an essential part of making espressos.

    When making an espresso, oils, fats, flavours and other aromas are extracted from the ground material in the portafilter. The tamper’s role in all of this is often underestimated and yet extremely important. It is responsible for perfectly compressing the ground coffee in the filter basket.

    The more carefully you make the coffee puck, the better the espresso tastes. When you have the perfect coffee puck, hot water can pass through every hole in the filter basket because it encounters the same level of resistance everywhere. Thus, the aromas are evenly extracted from the ground coffee.

    The groove incorporated into the base makes it easier for you to check that the puck is even - for perfect espresso results.

    This can be done quickly and cleanly thanks to the tamper, which fits comfortably in your hand. The ergonomically shaped fine wood handle fits the precision-crafted, stainless steel tamper base perfectly and supports excellent handling.
